We ended school on such a lovely high before the h We ended school on such a lovely high before the holidays, with a marvellous Easter Bonnet Parade. What creativity! It was wonderful to see the children in their brilliant bonnets, walking to the school hall in a sea of colour and imagination. Congratulations to all the prize winners. FOAS were so pleased to provide a range of tasty awards. We’re already looking forward to next year’s parade! It’s the last day of school tomorrow before the It’s the last day of school tomorrow before the Easter holidays! There are so many lovely things happening including the Easter Bonnet Parade, Talent Show, and of course, the Avening School Easter Egg Hunt. FOAS were super excited to deliver over 100 chocolate eggs yesterday. Happy hunting! 🐰🥕🐣🍫🥚🐑

Parents are invited to watch over the school wall as the children parade their creations towards the hall for their Easter Celebration Assembly on the morning of Friday 11th April. FOAS will be providing prizes for some of the best bonnets!

The beautiful bulbs were gratefully received during our quiz night raffle, and the delicious cordials and sparkling pressé were a welcome addition to the bar. DON’T FORGET this Friday is Break the Rules Day! DON’T FORGET this Friday is Break the Rules Day! On Friday 4th April you can enjoy a school day full of broken rules. Pay 50p per rule you’d like to break or pay £2 to break them all! Bring in cash on the day, or pay in advance on the FOAS website (please see link in our bio). Rules available for breaking are… - Wear a non-uniform item all day (hat, footy top, bright tights, anything fun!) - Do something crazy with your hair - Paint your nails - Bring a small toy to school - Eat your pudding first at lunchtime - Bring in a treat for a snack (no nuts please) - Have squash in your water bottle Have fun!!

The only rule is that it must sit on your head. The children will parade their creations around the hall in an Easter Celebration Assembly on the morning of Friday 11th April.
