2026 Challenge COMPLETED! Congratulations to Evie 2026 Challenge COMPLETED! Congratulations to Evie D from the Kestrels who completed her challenge by designing 26 spirograph drawings! Raising super funds, one swirl at a time. ⭐️ SUPERHERO STATUS GRANTED ⭐️ Well done and thank you! ———————- If you’ve recently completed your challenge, or are working on a daily one, we’d love to hear from you. Drop us a message here, or email us and we’ll announce your super success! Don’t forget, money raised by each child will be combined per class, and classes will be awarded their fundraising total at the end of the challenge. Including Astrid’s Sourdough rolls with sun-dried tomatoes and olives… we were totally spoilt 😋💚 Thanks so much to everyone who bought something. We were lucky enough to have some bakes made by Otto & Monty from the Kestrels. They hand decorated their cookies with forest creatures, inspired by this year’s World Book Day theme. The night before World Book Day… Children retur The night before World Book Day… Children returned to school this evening dressed in their pyjamas and cuddling their favourite toys, for Bedtime Stories. Celebrating the joy of books, listening to stories together and reading to each other. FOAS were delighted to provide cookies and hot chocolate for the evening. Thank you to Katy, Laurel and Astrid for serving tonight’s treats. We can’t wait for an exciting World Book Day tomorrow! @worldbookdaysocial @book_tokens @go_all_in_2026
Grab your glue, sticky tape and scissors and let y Grab your glue, sticky tape and scissors and let your imagination soar as we celebrate Easter! Rabbits, Eggs, Footballs, Lego... anything goes. The only rule is that it must sit on your head. Parents are invited to watch over the school wall as the children parade their creations towards the hall for the Easter Celebration Assembly on the morning of Friday 27th March (time TBC). FOAS will be providing prizes again for some of the most imaginative bonnets! Prizes were awarded last year for creativity, sustainability, ingenuity and colour - so let’s get creative!! If you still have your bonnet from last year’s parade, you are of course more than welcome to wear it again ♻️ We can’t wait to see your creations!! 📅 Friday 27th March 🕖 Morning Parade and Assembly 📍 School Playground and Hall 🌟 Prizes Awarded for Winning Bonnets!

A brilliant night with excellent questions from Alex Adcock as always, and fabulously hosted by Jo Harris 🌟 Thank you both for making it such a fun evening. Congratulations to all our raffle winners, and to everyone who donated or helped us gather the brilliant prizes. Thanks to the raffle, ticket sales, food and drink purchases, everyone has helped to raise over £700 for Avening School! 🌟 A fabulous total - thank you so much 🌟 Congratulations to Steph and her winning quiz team! 🥳 A gripping finish of tie-breaker questions! 🌟 Thank you to Ana at S&P Global for your kind contribution to our £100 Quiz Prize 🌟 Thanks again to Sam for running the bar for the evening, to Annabelle and Katy for the delicious chilli, and to everyone who helped in the kitchen.
